In between Covid-19 lockdowns we managed to have a Sunday Run to Leigh in June 2021. We met at the Wharf in Warkworth on a day of squalls and showers and descended on the Fish & Chip shop in Leigh for lunch. They were overwhelmed by the sudden arrival of our group but were glad of the custom and coped manfully. We visited the garage of a local member who had an impeccable Ford GTHO, and also in the garage was a pristine red 1965 Mustang which his wife had won on a $5 ticket at the recent Beach Hop. The drive home was very wet and required intense concentration on the hilly bits from the drivers of cars which had only rear wheel brakes.
