Our major event of the year is the Winter Woollies Wander which attracts many entries from other clubs around the country and is held early in July when the weather can be full of surprises so be sure to have warm clothing. We also join with other clubs nearby for Combined rallies and in March each year we run the Are we there yet? rally in memory of the late Mike Brown who resurrected a 1901 White Steam Car from a pitiful collection of parts found under a tree near Napier. We also join with other clubs and host the Daffodil Day Rally which raises significant amounts of money to help fund the battle against cancer. This is an ongoing non-competitive event in August of each year and is open to every type of vehicle. Sadly it fell victim to Covid-19 lockdowns in 2020 and 2021, although it was run again in 2022. The rally attracts large numbers of entries from the oldest to the very latest models as well as hotrods, motorcycles and scooters, and it draws large crowds of motoring enthusiasts to the start and finish.
